Unsung Story: Tale of the Guardians is a spiritual successor to the epic tactical RPGs designed by Yasumi Matsyno. The game's timeline covers several chapters over the course of the war-torn history of the fantasy world of Rasfalia. Heroes that fought in the Seventy-Seven Years War will be the game's primary focus.
The story for each hero will constitute a single episode, with each episode composed of a variety of stages of game play. Each episode will depict a part of the war from a view of a different protagonist. Episodes can span from a single year, to a decade or more in length.
Unsung Story consists of turn-based tactical strategy gameplay that spans across these episodes. The player could take control of a group of knights protecting a great empire, or of rebels who are fighting to topple that same empire. Battles take place on a 3D landscape with a player controlled camera.
